C-Suite Conversation: Rebecca Soulliere - CHRO, Vanguard Renewables

Recently, we sat down with Rebecca Soulliere, Chief Human Resource Officer at Vanguard Renewables to talk about how she has led HR at the quickly growing, PE-backed company. Soulliere described hurdles she encountered while the company grew from 60 to over 250 employees in just three and a half years. Initially assuming managers had core leadership skills, she and her team discovered the need to “go back to basics,” providing hands-on training in management, performance reviews, OKRs, and workflow clarity.

She positions HR as a progressive, strategic partner embedded across all divisions, emphasizing onboarding, coaching, and mentoring. Her approach focuses on aligning organizational structure, employee development, and value creation, fostering a culture where everyone is a leader and every voice is heard.

By succeeded in scaling this growth, Soulliere and the HR team at Vanguard have won the trust of the C-Suite, and are now relied upon as other facets of the organization look to grow – “they know we can do it again.”
